 Leon Belmont trudged down the hill towards Rinaldo's cottage.  He looked tired, worn right through to his very soul.  I knew that his loss had been more than most men could bear and my spirit called out to him.  Still I remained where I was, stoic beside Rinaldo as we watched Leon approach us. "It is a heavy burden you carry, Belmont," Rinaldo's gruff voice spoke up when Leon was close enough to hear.  "But I'm afraid it isn't over yet.  Mathias will be back and your clan must be prepared for anything."  There are not enough words to describe how I'm feeling now, or anytime.  It's always an incredible mixture of emotion that just seems to consume me, driving me deeper into the darkness that cloaks my mind.  And there is nothing that can take away this feeling that I feel, a creeping shadow that always seems to lurk in my memory, haunting me.  My only assurance is the death that is sure to come, so I wait, wait, wait and wait for what seems like eternity.  I know it's there, I can feel it as it draws so ever closer.  Yet it never seems to be close enough. It's an impossible despairing.
